Pilates – Healthy Spine
‘’Look well to the spine for the cause of the disease’’ – Hippocrates

Our spine has a very specific structure that protects, encases spinal cord and enables flawless function of nervous system. Any deviation of that structure directly interferes with the gathering of nerves signals affecting certain areas in our body.
We can not stress enough the importance of ‘’ideal posture’’, where your body is stable over its base of support and strain and stress on body tissues is minimized.
Pilates exercises are designed to restore the natural curves of the spine and rebalance the muscles around the joints. Focus is placed on pelvic and scapular stabilization, and creating awareness of all the parts of the body into one. Exercises are appropriate for many different body types and abilities, and is applicable for either sport specific training and everyday life.
